This plant is all the more fascinating as it belongs to the Linaceae family, which has been present on Earth for 82 million years. In flax (Linum usitatissimum), which today is the pride of the Pays de Caux — the world's leading exporter — everything is useful, from root to stem. Our societies have relied on the many benefits of flax to feed, heal, wash, dress, build and decorate their homes.
