Oak Bark (Quercus)

Oak has long been used and even cultivated for its wood, cork, bark and acorns, which were once processed into flour. It has thus contributed directly to human survival and the development of societies. Thanks to its remarkable longevity and hardness, oak is one of the materials of choice for carpenters and cabinet makers. Sacred tree of the Romans, Celts and Germans, it is also the tree of stories where forests are inhabited by dragons and unicorns. In Celtic mythology, oak represents
the passage between different worlds. It is also associated with longevity, strength and generosity.
